Reallusion CrazyTalk was famous for creating a Talking Head from a photo image and now
New Version 8 (CT8) Pipeline can create 3D Head then export to iClone 6 and Character Creator (CC).

This 3D Head has new RLHead format, compatible with CC Character, we can enjoy the
very rich Customization
of our own 3D Character with favorite Face in CC and iClone 6
Environment for various Animation Use.

Characterizing the FBX Model is not necessary on the 3DXchange but High Resolution (2000 x 2000) with no facial expression flat image is required to get a good result.

At CT8, 3D Head is automatically generated after 14 Feature Points are placed on the Facial image, then precise adjustment is possible by 3 different method: Feature Points, line and morph area.

The 3D Head created on the CT8 has new .RLHead format and compatible with the CC Character which face, body proportion and Cloth textures can be customized in the Character Creator to the full.

At CT8, Hairs, Hats and Cloths being called as 'Acter Elements' are added on the upper body and saved as as [.ctiProject] but not exported with RLHead.

The RLHead is not able to apply to G5/G6 Character body, however, CC Models face and skin can be replaced with the new RLHead with the optional selection of mesh /texture.

The new CT8-CC-iClone 6-3DXchange offers a very sophisticated and flexible pipeline for the Character Animation creation.

2. 3D Head Creation by Marking the Feature Points at the Front Image Editing

Open CT8, Click 「Create New Actor」 icon, select 3D Actor type, and Import the Model Face.

At Front Image Editing, follow the prompt and mark the Feature Points on the 2D Model Face.
 
Mark Feature Points: Mark the last point on the top of the head.

Select the 3D Face Profile: Select Female/Asian to make a Japanese looking model.

 
Observe the 3D face result. Use the [Previous] button and adjust the point again until satisfied.

Select facial parts on the [Contour and Texture Alingment] and adjust the 3D face shape precisely.

Use Calibration Eye/Mouse: Push 'Consonant' or 'Eye' to confirm the lip movement and Eye blinking.
 

Select Facial Part shown upper to re-adjust the Feature points in the previous stage.

3. Confirming 3DFace and Facial Expression in CT8

When clicking 「Apply」 button, 3D Head is shown on the CT8 window.

Go to Window/Content Manager (F4)/Actor Elements/01_Eye/01_Human, and replace the Eyes.
 
At Template/Actor Elements/01_Eye/01_Human/Bright Eyes, select Dark Brown

Click [Eye Settings] icon, adjust Diffuse Contrast and Saturation. Check the Eyelash and adjust length.

4. Replacing the 3D head in iClone 6: Use CC Natalie

Open iClone 6 and launch CC_Natarie on the screen, then drag and drop the RLHead file to her.
 
Use RLHead Import Options to manage Head Morph/Texture selection.

5. Enhancing the RLHead Model Appearance at Character Creator

Open Character Creator instead of clicking the 「Send Head to Character Creator」 at CT8.
