Three years have past since 3DXchange 5 was introduced in 2012.
Now, 3DXchange 6 is released as Early Access.
The most thankful function is the capability of ’Export/Replace Mesh’ for the specified G6 character face, body and dress without export license. 

Before transporting to iClone 6, Character image can now be previewed in 3DX6 sufficiently by adjusting the light direction in 4 Scene Modes with enhanced 'Expression Editor'.
The Editor has More than 70 preset facial expressions and can be added more by ourself.

Soft Breast also became possible for G6 character.

Physics for the Replaced Hair and Dress become effective in iC6.

Mesh replacement for Heidi face, Dress and breast spring settings are reported here.

1 Transfering the Character into 3DXchange 6
 

Character Model can be transfered into 3DXchange 6 by the following three ways.

1
Use File/Open in the 3DXchange from the iClone Template/Custom folder.

Drag the Character icon in the iC6 Template folder to the 3DX screen.
3
Go to Modify/Edit/3DXchange and push 'Edit in 3DXchange' button.

1-1 Open 3DXchange 6 and go to File/Open.
1-2 Open the 'Heidi.iAvatar' at the G6 Character Folder in the iClone Template/ Character.
1-3 When iClone 6 is opened, just drag the character into the 3DX6 screen from the iC6 Template folder.
1-4 When working in the iClone 6, use Modify/Edit/3DXchange and use 'Edit in 3DXchange' button.
 
3DX6_Heidi
1-5 Go to Modify/Replace Mesh(V), Push Export Mesh button. (T-Pose)
1-6 Default File Name is 'RL\G&Beta_Base.obj' and No Export Lisense message appears.

When the character has hairs or accessories bought in the marketplace, left message will show up depending on the products.

When iClone5/6 is not registered, the 'Import File Error' message is shown for the Bonus content.

2 Editing Facial Shape and Adding New Morph
2-1 Open any 3D modeling tool (ex. Quidam3.5) and import the Base obj file.

2-2 Edit the facial part.

2-3 After editing the facial part, Export with the new file name :'RL\G6Beta_Base_v1.obj'.
2-4 At 3DX6, Push 'Replace Mesh' button and replace the face obj with new shape.

3 Expression Editor and Morph Editing
3-1 At Modify/Face Set Up, select one Morph in the Morph List and push 'Export' Button.
3-2 Edit the Face shape in the 3D tool, save the result then add to the List. (v1, v2)

3-3 Open Expression Editor, select Custom/Custom Group1/Upword.
3-4 Select #35_Lip Open_v1 and move the slider to 100.

3-5 Select Spramaxilla and rotate the upper teeth upward.

3-6 Move the slider and confirm the mouse movement. (Note: Lip and teeth do not move together)
3-7 Save the edited face as TestFace.3dxFaceAnimPrifile.
3-8 Push 'Set' button and close the Expression Editor.
3-9 Push 'Convert to Non-Standard' and 'Apply to iClone' button.
4 Natural Breast Settings
4-1 At Modify/Character(N),/Character Set Up, Push the 'Convert to Non-Standard' button.

4-2 Push 'Convert' button, and go to Modify/Spring(L), and push 'Edit Spring' button.
 
Spring
4-3 Select both 'RL_G6Beta_L_Brest' and 'RL_G6Beta_R_Brest' bones and Push Active Spring button.
 
Breast
4-4 Select 'Spring Type', adjust the 'Softness', 'Mass', 'Strength' and 'Bounciness'.
4-5 Use 'Preview Motion/Animation' to set the Spring parameters for the movement to look natural.
 
Test Settings: Spring Type=Translate, Softness=5, Mass=3-5, Strength=6-8, Bounciness=8

4-6 Push 'Apply' button to finish Spring.
4-7 Go to Modify/Character(N)/Character Set Up and push 'Apply to iClone' button.
4-8 At iClone 6, apply Dance Motion to her. Observe the Breast movement.

4-9 Spring Parameters can be adjusted in the iClone6 for all bones, and edited in the timeline.

5 Facial Expressions
5-1 At 3DX6, confirm her Facial expressions in the Morph list.

5-2 Open iClone 6, locate the modified Heidi.
5-3 Go to Modify/Create Script and Use the 'Text to Speech Editor' for test.

5-4 Apply the speech to the custom Heidi.

5-5 Use the 'On demand service' to get other voice.
6 Dress Mesh Replacement: Indivisual Edit
6-1 Select the 'RL_G6Beta_Dress' and push 'Export Mesh'. Import the Dress obj data.
6-2 Edit the Dress part in the 3D tool and export with the different file name.

6-4 Push the 'Apply to iClone' button.
6-5 Apply any Motion data. Physics ON for Dress.
7 Long hair
7-1 Select Long Hair (Object152) and push 'Export Mesh' button to edit.

7-2 Push 'Replace Mesh' button to get modified Hair.
8 Dress Mesh Replacement: Cloth on Edit
8-1 Go to File/Export to Other 3D Format/Export FBX. (Character T-Pose)
8-2 Select Target Tool Preset. (Ex. 3ds Max)

8-3 Select Clay + Edged Faces, Select the 'RL_G6Beta_Dress', and use Editable Mesh.

9-2 Attach the 'Necklace_B_Gold' and the Ribbon(MMD mod) to the custom Heidi in the iClone 6.
9-3 Apply any Diffuse Material to her Dress, and apply dance motion in the Perform List.
